HabariPay’s Squad, in alignment with its commitment to empowering businesses and fostering innovation among the youth across Africa, proudly unveils its inaugural hackathon, “Take on Squad Hackathon 1.0.”

The event is scheduled to take place in January 19th and 20th, 2023, at the state-of-the-art GTCO Training Complex in Tayo’s Plaza, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

This groundbreaking social coding event aims to catalyse innovation among young minds.

Tailored for young innovators in Nigerian universities and tertiary institutions, the hackathon presents a challenge to participating teams: devise inventive solutions to address local and societal challenges. With a focus on positively impacting young Nigerians, the event serves as a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to sharpen their technological skills, collaboratively develop transformative tech solutions, and refine their coding capabilities.

Participants will enjoy exclusive access to leverage Squad’s advanced APIs to bring their ideas to life.

The two-day event promises an immersive experience, featuring intense coding sessions on day one, culminating in product demos, panel discussions, and the announcement of winners on day two. The victorious team, armed with the most innovative idea, will be awarded N2.5 million, with the first runner-up receiving N1.5 million and the third-placed team earning N1 million. Additionally, the top three teams gain entry into the Squad Hackademy, offering mentorship, internships, and job opportunities facilitated by Squad.
