Monopoly Go’s booming mobile game has gone in the reverse and reinvented as a new board game. Based on the Monopoly board game, Monopoly Go hit the mobile gaming stores and became an overnight success in the mobile gaming market, making $2 billion in the mobile gaming industry in 10 months alone.

The development of this beautiful game is Scopely, which has now revived this much-loved mobile game in the updated tabletop version, making it a perfect combination of digital and analogue gameplay.

A fresh perspective for Monopoly fans

What’s great for fans is that it brings a sense of freshness into the series and allows them to enjoy the game from a different perspective. Monopoly Go built an exciting smartphone application that entirely transformed the traditional manner of playing the Monopoly board games, yet did not remove crucial parts of the Monopoly experience while incorporating dynamism and speed.

Monopoly Go comes full circle

This approach worked very well for app users since it made it the biggest mobile game launch ever in the U.S. Modern mobile gaming adopted its way of embracing the classic board game tradition in an unexpected yet exciting turn: Scopely, the company behind Monopoly Go and the hilarious party game Stumble Guys, presented a new board game based on a hit mobile title. 

This announcement of Monopoly Go has come full circle for the fans and provided them with more game experience. Go is a famous board game most enjoyed by young people and has several features of Monopoly that differentiate it from other board games. 99, the board game, released its product on August 1, 2024.

It is about 15 minutes long and intended to replicate the fast pacing of the original mobile version. Players use colour-sized blocks rather than spending real money to match famous landmarks.

How to play Monopoly Go board game

This elaborate game comprises four mini-gameboards with double sides. The settings involve New York City, the Roaring 20s, and Unicorn Land. We 

Goal of the game: The focus is on presenting the goal of the game…

Roll the dice: The next step is to roll the dice simultaneously, each by the player with more pieces in the specified field. 

Move tokens: Drag the token over the small board. 

Place landmark blocks: In a colour space, select a specific colour; always place the respective landmark block on the board. Win the game: 

The first player to stack 4 identical coloured blocks will be the winner.
