Its rectangular, vibrant display comes in a slimmer form factor, making it both fashionable and functional.

It supports dual-band GNSS tracking, barometric elevation, offline topographic maps, and watersports tracking, including freediving up to 40 meters.

Jin Renbin, Device Manager at Huawei Kenya, said, “These devices are slim, smart, and powerful, designed for both fitness enthusiasts and everyday users.”

The Watch Fit 4 aligns with Huawei’s “Fashion Active” philosophy, blending bold aesthetics with practical innovation.

Band 10: Lightweight and long-lasting for everyday wellness

Targeting students and first-time fitness users, the Band 10 weighs just 15 grams and offers up to 14 days of battery life.

A quick 5-minute charge provides two days of use. It features continuous heart rate and SpO₂ monitoring, sleep insights, 24/7 heart rate variability analysis, and smart notifications via the Huawei Health app.

Adam Lane, Policy and Partnerships Manager at Huawei Kenya, highlighted the role of AI in these devices: “We are integrating AI more deeply into health tracking. It’s about real-time insights that empower users to take proactive control of their physical and emotional well-being.”

The Band 10 also includes women’s health features such as period tracking.

Localised features and accessibility efforts

Huawei has customised the wearables for popular local activities like running, walking, and cycling.

The company is exploring partnerships with Kenyan universities and health tech startups to integrate regional data for wellness research and app development.

Wilfred Odera, Marketing Manager at Huawei Kenya, said, “We’ve taken a localised approach to ensure relevance. We want these wearables to be daily wellness companions for every Kenyan.”

Huawei also works with local telcos and retailers to offer instalment plans, bundles, and seasonal promotions to make the devices more affordable without compromising quality.

Availability and pricing

The Watch Fit 4 is priced at KES 19,999 (approximately $150), discounted from KES 21,999 (approximately $165).

The Band 10 comes in two versions: aluminium alloy at KES 7,999 (approximately $60) and plastic case at KES 6,999 (approximately $53), discounted from higher original prices.

These wearables are available nationwide through Huawei retail partners such as Anisuma, Miniso, and Phone Place.

Huawei’s strong global presence in wearables is reflected in its 16.9 per cent market share and 44.3 per cent year-on-year growth, making these launches a notable addition to Kenya’s digital health ecosystem.
