Fusionsolar, the smart solar power products from Huawei, the global technology leader, have been launched in Nigeria with the aim of providing various sectors and households with clean and dependable energy solutions.

The company recently presented its products in Port Harcourt, showcasing the features and benefits of its solar inverters and batteries.

Fusionsolar is the brand name of Huawei’s smart photovoltaic (PV) solutions, which consist of solar inverters, batteries, controllers, and cloud platforms. Huawei says that Fusionsolar can help customers lower their electricity costs, improve their energy efficiency, and reduce their carbon emissions.

Huawei’s solar inverters transform the direct current (DC) produced by solar panels into alternating current (AC) that can power appliances and devices. Huawei’s solar batteries store surplus solar energy that can be utilized later when there is no sun. Huawei’s controllers oversee and manage the solar system, while Huawei’s cloud platforms offer remote access and data analysis.

Huawei asserts that its Fusionsolar products have several benefits over other solar solutions, such as:

High performance and reliability: Huawei’s solar inverters have a peak efficiency of 99% and can work in tough environments, such as high temperatures, humidity, and dust. Huawei’s solar batteries have a long life of 10 years and can handle up to 10,000 cycles of charging and discharging. Huawei’s controllers have a built-in artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm that can enhance the solar system’s performance and identify faults. Huawei’s cloud platforms have a high-security level and can provide real-time data and alerts.

Easy and quick installation: Huawei’s Fusionsolar products are plug-and-play, meaning they can be effortlessly connected and set up without any intricate wiring or settings. Huawei’s solar inverters and batteries are also small and light, making them easy to transport and install. Huawei’s controllers and cloud platforms are also user-friendly and intuitive, allowing customers to access and control their solar system from anywhere and anytime.

Flexible and scalable: Huawei’s Fusionsolar products are compatible with different kinds of solar panels and batteries, and can be tailored to meet the specific needs and preferences of customers. Huawei’s solar inverters and batteries can also be linked in parallel or series, depending on the needed capacity and voltage. Huawei’s controllers and cloud platforms can also support multiple solar systems and devices, allowing customers to enlarge and upgrade their solar solutions as needed.

Huawei to unveil disruptive products to reshape the tech industry

Huawei’s vision

Huawei’s vision is to bring renewable energy to every person and everywhere, as stated by Mr Ni Zhilin, the director of Huawei Digital Power Nigeria, at the launch event. He said that renewable energy is becoming a major source of energy across the world, and that Nigeria has huge market and growth potential. He also noted that Nigeria remains the largest generator importer and that the price of diesel has increased significantly in the past two years, making solar energy solutions more attractive and necessary.

Mr Jeremiah Ejiroghene Aminode, the solution manager of Huawei Digital Nigeria, also spoke at the event and said that Huawei was already powering over 2.7 million homes across the world with its smart solar products. He said that Huawei’s solar inverters and batteries have 5-10 years warranty and have the ability to power residential homes, banks, hotels, schools, factories, industries, communities, and even an entire state. He also mentioned the benefits of Huawei’s solar products, such as easy and quick installations, beautiful design, no power cut, no fuel, no extra cost for maintenance of generators, and no pollution.
