IBM, one of the world’s leading companies in the fields of information technology and computing, has recently introduced the Hybrid Cloud Mesh, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution aimed at empowering enterprises to manage their hybrid multi-cloud infrastructure effectively.

By harnessing the power of Application-Centric Connectivity, this offering assists modern businesses in operating their infrastructure across diverse hybrid multi-cloud and heterogeneous environments.

It achieves this by automating the process, management, and observability of application connectivity within public and private clouds.

How Hybrid Cloud Mesh works

In today’s hyper-distributed business landscape, enterprises must navigate the challenges posed by dispersed users, applications, and data scattered across various locations and environments.

The IBM Hybrid Cloud Mesh addresses this issue by providing a streamlined solution that facilitates the deployment of applications and services seamlessly across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

It offers a straightforward, secure, scalable, and smooth on-ramp for applications and services, even in diverse environments.

By leveraging the capabilities of the Hybrid Cloud Mesh, enterprises can tap into the potential of hybrid and multi-cloud application deployment. This solution simplifies the management of application connectivity, enhances security, and enables scalability, allowing businesses to optimize their infrastructure while taking advantage of the flexibility and efficiency offered by hybrid and multi-cloud deployments.

IBM Hybrid Cloud Mesh to be released in late 2023

IBM Hybrid Cloud Mesh, scheduled to be generally available later this year, will utilize the DNS traffic steering capabilities provided by NS1, an IBM Company.

This integration aims to identify the most optimal connection between clouds and end users, ensuring that applications are delivered with a focus on performance, cost-efficiency, and availability at every connection point.

Prior to the general availability release of IBM Hybrid Cloud Mesh in the latter half of 2023, IBM will offer clients the opportunity to participate in an early access program. Through this program, participants will gain more comprehensive information about how IBM Hybrid Cloud Mesh offers a unified approach to connectivity, thereby expediting application deployment times and enhancing the end-user experience.

Additionally, participants will learn how IBM Hybrid Cloud Mesh is designed to empower information technology (IT) teams with network control while providing DevOps and CloudOps teams with a unified experience and toolset to address issues related to application performance, visibility, control, and security.

Regardless of whether organizations are taking their initial steps into cloud deployments or have already established globally distributed applications across multiple clouds, IBM Hybrid Cloud Mesh provides detailed insights on leveraging an automated, intelligent, and optimized network for seamless operations built on public cloud infrastructure.

Benefits to clients

By adopting IBM Hybrid Cloud Mesh, clients can alleviate the significant challenges faced by infrastructure and operations teams when it comes to deploying, managing, and securing their hybrid multicloud networks. In an era where control and visibility are becoming increasingly restricted, this solution provides a means to establish connections that address these limitations.

The introduction of IBM Hybrid Cloud Mesh aligns with IBM’s overarching mission to support organizations in their digital transformation journey. It enables businesses to compete effectively in their respective markets by leveraging technological innovation and harnessing the capabilities of intelligent automation solutions. Ultimately, the goal is to meet enterprise needs proactively and predictively.
