iHatch 2025: Applications open for Nigerian startups to access training, mentorship, and funding

The iHatch Incubation Program 2025 Cohort 4 applications are now open, as announced by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) on Friday. The deadline for submission is May 10, 2025.

The program, supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), is a three-month, free, intensive incubation initiative to empower early-stage Nigerian startups to refine their business ideas and scale their ventures.

The iHatch program is designed to provide founders with hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to industry experts.

The organizers said, “Early-stage founders will receive hands-on training and mentorship, equipping them with the skills, tools, and strategies needed to build and scale sustainable startups in Nigeria’s dynamic business landscape.” The curriculum covers business model development, product-market fit, investor readiness, and operational efficiency.

Startup support, training, and networking opportunities

Startups selected will receive one-on-one mentoring, pitch preparation, and funding opportunities. The programme brings founders together with experienced mentors and other entrepreneurs to share information.

“Participants will gain insights into business model development, product-market fit, and investor readiness, ensuring they are well-prepared to attract funding and scale their solutions effectively.”

The program includes networking events, demo days, and investor matchmaking sessions. Startups from diverse sectors such as fintech, healthtech, agritech, and edtech are encouraged to apply, as iHatch seeks to drive innovation and economic growth across multiple industries.

Eligibility is open to early-stage startups across Nigeria with innovative solutions and strong market potential.
