Nigerian rapper and activist Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has teamed up with AltSchool Africa to empower women in tech through a scholarship program.
Announced on Wednesday in celebration of International Women’s Day, this initiative will grant 20 women full scholarships to study tech courses of their choice, including Engineering, Product, and Data.

Falz partners with AltSchool Africa to empower women in tech
Falz, known for his activism and social impact projects, took to his Instagram and X accounts to reveal the initiative. In collaboration with AltSchool Africa, the scholarship will cover full tuition costs, providing an opportunity for women passionate about technology to acquire industry-relevant skills.
Applicants are required to register through a designated link and submit a compelling case explaining why they should be selected. The winners will be announced on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2025.
“For this year’s International Women’s Day, and in collaboration with @AltSchoolAfrica, I will be offering full scholarships to 20 women to study tech courses in any area of choice, including Engineering, Product, and Data,” Falz stated.
