On December 19, 2024, Konga, a leading e-commerce group in Africa, announced the launch of KongaFM, an innovative AI-powered FM radio station set to debut in January 2025. 

This groundbreaking initiative aims to blend music and commerce, creating Africa’s first Hit Music & Commerce Station.

Prince Nnamdi Ekeh, CEO of Konga Group, emphasised the transformative potential of this venture, stating that it aligns with Konga’s mission to disrupt traditional marketing communications.

The station will utilise state-of-the-art broadcasting technology and be staffed by a dynamic mix of experienced professionals and youthful talent. Test transmissions are scheduled to begin in mid-January 2025. 

This initiative complements Konga’s existing media services and positions the company as a dominant force in the convergence of entertainment and commerce across Africa.
