Konga Travels and Tours has announced the launch of a flexible instalment payment programme for potential passengers, with the goal of providing more than 20 million Nigerians with access to affordable travel offers.

The initiative, dubbed Pay As You Earn, allows clients to save money and enjoy cheaper travel offers by paying a minimum of 20% down payment on the travel cost and the balance in easy instalments.

Konga Travels, a leading omni-channel travel agency in Africa based in Lagos, Nigeria, will take a significant step towards realising its long-held goal of reducing the cost burden associated with lump sum payments for flights, while also significantly improving unrestricted access to a growing suite of travel and tourism-related opportunities for millions of Nigerians.

Nigerians from all walks of life may now afford to plan and enjoy the privilege of going to their dream destinations and other exotic spots across the world by deciding to pay a minimum of 20% down payment on a chosen aircraft ticket using Pay As You Earn.

Konga Tours issues the ticket after the initial 20% advance payment is confirmed, and the customer is given the option of selecting a desired monthly payment plan.

With outstanding instalments anticipated to be paid in full at least seven days ahead to the flight date, the customer receives monthly reminders from Konga Tours regarding the instalment payment due date, providing seamless and stress-free liquidation. The consumer receives the ticket and other travel itinerary data as soon as the payment is finished.

Group Executive Director, Okezie Akaniro shared his optimism and excitement at being able to make flight bookings easier for Konga customers.

According to Akaniro: ‘‘We are delighted to offer our customers this excellent and long-awaited product. Through Pay As You Earn, we have identified a fitting avenue through which we can expand access to convenient and affordable flight deals for millions of Nigerians who otherwise would have to come up with huge sums of money to actualise their travel plans.’’

Continuing, he stated that, in addition to assisting prospective flyers in better planning and simply achieving their travel goals by conveniently extending their payment over a period of time, Pay As You Earn also assists customers in saving more money.

The GED added that ‘‘By choosing Pay As You Earn, for instance, a customer can save as much as 150% by taking advantage of our early bird fares for a number of destinations. This is a premium value addition for would-be travellers looking to firm up their summer plans, festive season travel or other vacation ideas.

Furthermore, you have the opportunity of taking advantage of other allied services which Konga Travels offers such as visa and passport processing, hotel reservations, tours packages, logistics and travel advice and much more.’’

Pay As You Earn is offered to all types of potential passengers, including salaried individuals, business owners, traders, and other travel audiences. Customers who are interested in taking advantage of the initiative for their trip plans can contact travel@konga.com.
