Kwik, an e-commerce and delivery platform based in Lagos, revealed that it has officially launched a service that will aid merchants, entrepreneurs, businesses, government agencies and commercial vendors in Ibadan, Nigeria, ensuring to complete all of its deliveries in less than 1 hour.

Ibadan is a key commercial city and one of the cities in Nigeria that is growing the fastest. It is dubbed as one of the “largest cities in Nigeria”. One bad thing about this fast growth is that it is getting harder and harder to move goods around the city. Kwik says it aims to play a significant role in solving this problem by delivering goods from businesses to customers in less than an hour.

Kwik’s CEO and founder, Romain Poirot-Lelig, stated that the firm expects to have more than 500 partner vehicles in Ibadan on its platform soon. Kwik’s is saddled with ensuring that all moving parts circulate freely.

Poirot-Lehlig said, “The Lagos-Ibadan corridor is quickly becoming West Africa’s most dynamic industrial and commercial hub thanks to improvements in infrastructure, a market depth that has never been seen before, and attractive policies from the local government.”

KwikStore is a remarkable milestone in Kwik’s establishment as a one-stop shop, enabling African merchants to run and develop their businesses from their smartphones. It needs a Kwik account, but it can be used without the Kwik Delivery platform. This means that merchants can use their delivery option or sell in parts of Africa where the Kwik Delivery platform is not available.

Kwik store is now available in Ibadan

Kwik is bringing its award-winning delivery service to Ibadan, as well as its KwikStore service. Kwikstore is a modern, free online storefront platform that helps business owners automate their online sales and keep track of their inventory. Setting up an internet store today takes about 5 minutes and requires no technical skills. They can operate their business directly from their smartphone or PC.

Kwik’s Chief Operations Officer, Yinka Olayanju, stated, “E-commerce activities in Nigeria have continued to grow at a steady pace since 2015. More than 80% of Nigerians prefer to shop online from the comfort of their homes and have these products delivered to their doorsteps. ” “With its isothermal bags, Kwik will ensure that all kinds of products arrive in mint condition.”

She continues, “This rising trend in online activities has led to a steep increase in public spending as well as all-round economic growth, both of which require logistics support of the kind that Kwik Delivery is best-equipped to provide.”

How do Kwik e-commerce services operate?

Since its start in 2019, Kwik has kept getting better and coming up with new ways to deliver things online. It also helps African merchants and online social vendors with payment and delivery by giving them digital and logistical solutions. Merchants and businesses all over Nigeria can use the Kwik platform. Last-mile delivery is available in Lagos State, Ogun State, Abuja FCT, and Kano State. And now, to the already outstanding service for African business owners and social providers, we are adding another incredible service.

Social vendors can connect their KwikStores to their social media accounts, automating sales, inventory management, and shipping, and saving time for sales and marketing. The store is a free part of the Kwik Delivery app, and you don’t have to pay anything up front or for service, other than the normal payment gateway fees.

Merchants can fully customize their KwikStore to match their brand. Once the merchant approves the order, payment is automatically processed through the payment partners, and the Kwik Rider is automatically dispatched to the pickup location, or the order can be picked up directly by the customer.

Romain Poirot-LELIG, says that the company will continue expanding its offering of innovative digital services to enable African merchants to grow their businesses with all the benefits that technology brings.

“We are very proud to have developed KwikStore in Nigeria with our growing software development team,” says Olivier DECROCK, co-founder and CTO of Kwik. “Kwik is firmly committed to building its development potential in the country.”
