This week, the Lagos Blockchain Week 2024 will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos. The immersive event is designed to unite and inspire the vibrant blockchain and cryptocurrency community and highlight blockchain interoperability and cryptocurrency technologies.

The event scheduled for June 10th to 15th, 2024, is a 6-day program themed “The Blockchain Interoperability and AI: Powering Africa’s Digital Transformation” to unlock the potential of these technologies.

The week starts with a hackathon, offering web3 developers the chance to compete for prizes totalling $20,000. This collaborative event will bring together innovators and enthusiasts to explore new ideas and solutions.

Lagos Blockchain Week 2024 Schedule and Highlights

Day One: Crypto 101 Conference (June 10): This day will introduce Bitcoin and blockchain concepts, along with guidance on building a crypto portfolio. Participants can also expect insights into a beginner’s guide to cryptocurrencies and DeFi protocols. Additionally, there will be a panel session on “Regulatory Compliance in Crypto/Crypto Taxation Workshop” and a workshop on Security Tokens and Tokenization.

Day Two: Pitch/VC Fund Day (June 11): The Creator Expo will showcase Virtual Reality (VR) creation workshops, a masterclass on NFT artistry, and a boot camp on metaverse building.

Day Three: AI Integration Day (June 12): Integrating AI with blockchain, AI-driven intelligent contracts, and blockchain interoperability with AI platforms and AI-driven tokenomics.

Day Four: Decentralised Storage Day (June 13): Hands-on sessions will cover using IPFS for file storage and retrieval, integrating Swarm for decentralised storage, and a workshop on developing applications that utilise Filecoin for distributed storage.

Day Five: Web3 Builders Workshop (June 14): Featuring workshops on Polkadot parachain development, Hermez Layer 2 practical workshop on zk-rollups, and Loopring Protocol practical workshop on zkRollup exchange.

Day Six: Web3 Builders Summit (June 15): The final day will focus on advanced intelligent contract development on Ethereum, analysing data trends with The Graph, building decentralised applications (DApps) with FVM, and Rust programming for Solana intelligent contracts.
