Leading insurance technology company Gamp has announced a partnership with Leadway Assurance, one of Nigeria’s most successful insurance companies, to give Africa’s first insurance, after-sales support, and maintenance services for devices in Nigeria.

The purpose of the cooperation that has been launched between the organisations is to offer protection for devices to both consumers and enterprises. The cost of repairing damaged devices for subscribers is covered by the device protection plan, which may be utilised at any of gamp’s repair centres or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) approved partners located throughout Nigeria.

A subscriber to this forward-thinking plan can make a repair request online from the convenience of their own home, and gamp will then arrange for the affected device to be collected, repaired, and returned to the subscriber.

Umashime Oguzor-Doghro, Head of Partnership and Microinsurance at Leadway Holdings, made the following statement regarding the partnership: This partnership is part of Leadway’s efforts to broaden access to insurance services by embedding them into the lifestyle of the customer. Given that there are currently over 130 million devices in use in Nigeria, it is impossible to overstate the importance of ensuring that consumers have access to insurance policies that will compensate them for the cost of any necessary repairs.

In a recent interview, the Chief Executive Officer of gamp, Boluwatife Omotayo, stated that the typical age of Nigerians is 18. As the number of people using smartphones and computers continues to skyrocket, so does the requirement for trustworthy and reasonably priced technical assistance and protection for these devices. gamp’s position as the largest supplier of embedded device protection and related services in Africa is bolstered as a result of the agreement.

The protection plan for your device can be purchased for as little as N3,000 per year, and you have the choice of subscribing to either the monthly, semi-annual, or annual service plan. The plan provides protection for all varieties of electronic devices, irrespective of brand, place of purchase, condition, or model. You can purchase the plan either in-person at one of our partner stores or online.
