Meta will collaborate with these selected creators in the course of the next year as they continually build their audience and turn their passions into professions across Meta technologies.

What is META Saying?

According to Meta’s Creator Partnerships Lead, Middle East, Africa, and Turkey, Moon Baz, “With this campaign, we aim to highlight creators who are innovating through tools such as Reels and short-form video content formats, as well as those who are leveraging and exploring new content formats such as AR and VRR. We are excited to work closely with these creators, and we’re committed to helping them grow their audience and business and unlock new possibilities for the future as we build for the metaverse.”

The company stated that African creators have creatively used meta technologies such as Facebook and Instagram to express themselves and share the African story with fellow Africans and others worldwide.

To honour the Creators of Tomorrow, Meta will hold exclusive events across Sub-Saharan Africa where the tech giant will share updated information, tips, tools, and resources related to its technologies.

In South Africa, there will be a Creator Day with workshops and training for more than 50 creators to help them succeed in the growing digital and creator economy. In Kenya, creators, including those who are part of the campaign, will get together for a Reels School brunch.

Some of the Creators of Tomorrow from Africa are Kwambox (Kenya), Crazy Kennar (Kenya), Nadia Matovu (Uganda), Pamela Mtanga (South Africa), Ruth Ronnie (Zambia), Ruvarashe Hapaguti (Zimbabwe), among others.

Observations

In November 2022, the EMEA Creator Week will be held in London for the first time at the famous Tate Britain. The Creators of Tomorrow will be able to go there.

Other regional creators at different stages of their careers will join Creators of Tomorrow to work together, learn from each other, and keep getting ideas for the future of content creation on Meta’s platforms.
