Leading global provider of wireless broadband solutions Mimosa Networks on Tuesday announced a strategic partnership with Cambridge Broadband Networks Africa Limited (CBNLA), which will enable Mimosa to supply MTN, the biggest mobile network operator in Africa, with its award-winning product line.

All MTN locations can now secure and implement Mimosa’s high-performance fixed wireless products thanks to CBNLA’s partnership with Mimosa to supply goods and services to the MTN Group.

With 288 million users in 14 African markets, MTN is a key player in bringing innovative telecommunications solutions to underserved areas, businesses, and communities.

Now that Mimosa’s affordable, fibre-like wireless products have been integrated, MTN can increase the range of services it offers and give both urban and rural areas faster, more dependable broadband.

Benefit of Mimosa-CBNLA partnership to MTN

Through the partnership between Mimosa and CBNLA, MTN can easily access Mimosa’s wide range of products, which includes client radios, broadband access points, and high-capacity backhaul.

By using unlicensed spectrum to deliver fibre-like speeds over the air, Mimosa’s solutions help MTN fill connectivity gaps, particularly in underserved areas.

MTN can effectively scale wireless deployments across rural and urban markets with CBNLA serving as a regional service partner and systems integrator, satisfying rising broadband demand while improving network dependability.

This strategic partnership will accelerate digital inclusion and connectivity in underserved rural and urban areas by assisting in the expansion of fast, dependable, and affordable broadband access throughout 14 African MTN markets.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with MTN and CBNLA to expand broadband access across Africa,” said Jim Nevelle, SVP and General Manager of Mimosa Networks. “This partnership aligns with our goal of delivering high-speed, affordable connectivity to both established and underserved regions, creating new opportunities for economic growth and digital inclusion.”

The partnership is another significant step in Mimosa’s plan to build connections with top operators and infrastructure suppliers in order to provide high-speed, reasonably priced broadband throughout Africa.

About CBNLA

As a result of market demands, CBNLA has developed into a systems integrator that focuses on solutions, collaborating with a variety of technology companies to offer its tier-1 clients in East, West, Central, and Southern Africa state-of-the-art solutions.
