The Africa Impact Academy is a 10-month program to equip African founders and their teams with the skills, networks, and tools to scale impactful for-profit or non-profit initiatives in their communities.

The target is social enterprises and non-profits in Kenya, South Africa, and Nigeria that have been operating for at least a year and are confident in their community impact.

As stated in the announcement, the program aims to “create lasting change” by empowering organisations that demonstrate a commitment to community impact.

Eligible applicants include registered SMEs and non-profits that have been operational for at least one year, particularly those making strides in health, agribusiness, and education.

Application process and key benefits

Organisations interested in applying must submit their applications by February 28, 2025. The review process will occur on a rolling basis, encouraging early submissions to increase the chances of acceptance.

Participants will engage in a structured program that includes capacity building through expert-led training on strategic growth and financial sustainability.

Tailored mentorship: Each organisation will be paired with experienced mentors who provide personalised guidance.

Networking opportunities: Participants will connect with industry leaders, investors, and peers facing similar challenges.

Access to funding resources: Organizations will receive insights into securing grants and diversifying revenue streams.

As highlighted by MoFund Africa, this initiative is about enhancing individual organisations and fostering a collaborative environment where social enterprises can thrive together. Interested parties are encouraged to visit the official website for more details on the application process.
