Moniepoint empowers next-gen techies

Moniepoint Inc., a leading digital financial services provider, launched a groundbreaking initiative called DreamDevs to bolster Africa's burgeoning tech industry.

This ambitious program seeks to unleash Africa's innovation potential by developing the best minds on the continent, giving them useful tech skills and priceless real-world experience.

Eligibility and training structure

The DreamDevs program is designed for recent graduates with experience in computer science, engineering, technology, or similar disciplines.

Applications must have a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to be eligible. A tough nine-week boot camp will expose chosen participants to state-of-the-art industry technology and provide them with practical training.

Career growth and Moniepoint’s commitment

According to Felix Ike, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Moniepoint Inc., "We believe in investing in Africa's future, and that starts with empowering young people. DreamDevs is about creating a pathway for ambitious graduates to become the driving force of technological advancement in Africa."

Ike emphasised that the program is not just about training but also about providing participants with practical experience, upskilling opportunities, startup incubation, and product development support.

High-achieving boot camp attendees will be eligible for internships, opening doors to additional professional growth.

Additionally, all participants will be able to land full-time jobs at Moniepoint. This project aligns with Moniepoint's mission to use technology to design financial happiness and fuel the ambitions of millions of people throughout Africa.

Through programs such as Moniepoint HatchDev, a nine-month specialised training program that annually generates 300 junior software engineers, 100 intelligent systems developers, and 100 loT/embedded systems engineers, Moniepoint has continuously shown its dedication to enhancing the tech talent pipeline.
