A prominent pan-African venture capital firm, Janngo Capital, has invested in Jobzyn, a Moroccan startup that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to transform hiring throughout Africa.

Jobzyn, which was founded in 2023 by Simo Zizi and Abdelbassite Badou, is an AI-powered hiring platform that helps companies manage excessive applications while empowering job seekers to make more informed career choices.

The platform is already endorsed by global corporations such as Deloitte, PwC, Glovo, and prominent Moroccan firms such as Maroc Telecom and Inwi.

AI-powered recruitment transforming hiring

By publishing staff videos, office photographs, wage data, and company mission statements, Jobzyn’s AI technologies evaluate soft skills before interviews, automatically match candidates with the best positions, and provide candidates with radical transparency.

This degree of understanding is beneficial for younger job seekers navigating Africa’s competitive job market, as it helps applicants better grasp corporate culture and align their expectations.

“With Janngo’s backing, we are accelerating our mission to make the job market more accessible, fair, and efficient across the continent,” said Simo Zizi, CEO of Jobzyn.

The investment aligns with Janngo Capital’s dedication to creating economic opportunities for underserved populations, focusing primarily on employment for women and youth.

By 2050, Africa will need to create 20 to 30 million new jobs annually to keep up with its population growth, which makes recruiting innovation crucial. Currently, the continent creates about 3 million new jobs annually.

Janngo Capital has an excellent track record of assisting startups that foster inclusivity and employment growth. With the money from this most recent fundraising round, Jobzyn can scale product development and reach more people in Africa, the Middle East, and North Africa (MENA).

To help close the gap between education and job opportunities, Jobzyn collaborates with colleges through white-label digital career centres and monitors graduation results.

Using AI to tackle recruitment inefficiencies, Jobzyn offers a faster, more transparent hiring process that benefits employers and candidates in Africa’s evolving job market.
