In a strategic meeting held in Abuja, Nigeria, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Limited, Mrs Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, announced the launch of NIGCOMSAT’s Educational Technology (EdTech) solutions.

Mrs Egerton-Idehen highlighted the current state of ICT laboratories in schools, stating, “While schools and governments are making efforts to advance technology integration into education by furnishing some ICT laboratories with computers, a second-class problem prevents using most of these devices in schools.”

Representing the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Mr Bosun Tijani, Communications and Media Adviser Mr Osibo Imohoitsike reiterated the government’s commitment to fostering innovation and partnerships. He emphasized the importance of addressing existing challenges, formulating policies, and investing in infrastructure that supports entrepreneurship and training.
