Nigeria Computer Society’s statement

“The quick development of technology in our digital age has brought about a seismic shift in how we work, live, and engage with the world. Because of its widespread impact, technology is present in almost every area of our lives and is essential to developing the so-called “smart economy.”

This preamble aims to highlight the importance of technical solutions in this ever-changing environment and their critical role in promoting efficiency, sustainability, and advancement in our globalised society.

“To provide technological solutions for the various global economic challenges, collaboration among computer scientists, ICT professionals, engineers, innovators, accountants, statisticians, economists, content creators, artists, and other stakeholders is imperative.

The current reality is characterised by social unrest, terrorism, and even outright conflicts among nations, which have resulted in severe economic downturns, inflation, and increased poverty.

Modern technology like robotics, mobile, artificial intelligence, and scientific technologies are needed for these creative solutions because they are crucial elements of a SMART economy.”, the society stated on its website.
