In an announcement made by Nigeria’s Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy Bosun Tijani on Wednesday, a Nigeria-French Technology Roundtable will be held in Lagos on Friday, January 24, 2025, in partnership with the French embassy with support from Globacom, to broaden the country’s collaboration with partners worldwide to boost its technological trade.
He stated, “As we continue to expand our cooperation with partners globally to increase our technological trade, we will be hosting a Nigeria-French Technology Roundtable in Lagos in collaboration with the Embassy of France in Nigeria on Friday, 24th January 2025.”

He continued, “France’s significant role in technology has been built on a foundation of strong research capabilities, talent and advanced infrastructure. They are also demonstrating leadership in Artificial Intelligence, sustainability and driving collaboration on a European level.”
The minister noted that these attributes are consistent with the Ministry’s objectives and make France the perfect partner for its ecosystem of technology and innovation startups.
“These qualities fully align with our strategy as a ministry and position France as an ideal partner for our Technology and Innovation Startup ecosystem,” he added.
The Nigerian-French Roundtable will be bringing together private sector partners from both countries in the technology sector, along with the organisers of the largest tech forum in Europe, VivaTech, which will serve as a springboard to expand partnerships between the Nigerian and French Innovation ecosystems.
