Ondo Finance, the blockchain-based tokenisation platform, announced on Tuesday the launch of the Global Markets Alliance, a collaborative initiative that brings together leading wallets, exchanges, and custodians to establish industry standards for tokenised securities.
The alliance includes strategic partners such as the Solana Foundation, Bitget Wallet, Jupiter, Trust Wallet, Rainbow Wallet, BitGo, Fireblocks, 1inch, and Alpaca. Together, they aim to enhance interoperability, liquidity, and accessibility for real-world assets (RWAs) on-chain.
Ondo Alliance outlines three core tokenisation goals
The announcement comes ahead of the firm’s upcoming launch of Ondo Global Markets, a tokenisation platform designed to provide non-US users with seamless, native exposure to US publicly traded securities—including stocks, ETFs, and mutual funds—directly through wallets and applications.
“Access to US capital markets has historically been gated and inefficient, and standardisation is essential to unlock the full potential of tokenised securities,” said Nathan Allman, CEO of Ondo Finance. “With Ondo Finance’s blockchain-native infrastructure, wallets, exchanges, and other partners will be able to seamlessly offer both crypto and traditional financial products side by side.”
The Global Markets Alliance has outlined three core goals that will guide its mission and define its impact on the future of tokenised finance. First, the alliance aims to establish shared technical and compliance standards to ensure a unified approach to offering tokenised public securities.
It also aims to facilitate interoperability across key players in the ecosystem, including wallets, exchanges, custodians, and protocols, making it easier for users and institutions to interact with real-world assets on-chain.
Finally, the initiative focuses on improving accessibility and liquidity, ensuring that global investors can engage with tokenised assets securely and seamlessly.
Each partner brings its strengths to support these goals. Bitget Wallet, Trust Wallet, and Rainbow Wallet will integrate Ondo’s tokenised asset standards, allowing users to hold safely and access tokenised securities through self-custody solutions.
Jupiter and 1inch will enhance market depth and usability by offering deep liquidity and streamlined programmatic access for applications and wallet providers.
On the infrastructure side, BitGo will deliver institutional-grade custody services across multiple jurisdictions, including off-exchange settlement designed to reflect the safeguards of traditional markets.
Fireblocks will complement this with its secure, MPC-based wallet technology, enabling fast and flexible trading workflows for institutions. Meanwhile, Alpaca will bring its brokerage infrastructure expertise, offering tailored capabilities designed explicitly for tokenised securities.
Industry leaders back the tokenisation initiative
Eowyn Chen, CEO of Trust Wallet, expressed strong support for the initiative and its potential to transform global finance:
“Tokenised securities are more than a new asset class — they’re a foundation for the next era of global finance. At Trust Wallet, we see them as a bridge between today’s crypto users and a future where anyone with a smartphone can access real-world opportunities securely and directly.”
Jamie Elkaleh, CMO of Bitget Wallet, added: “Tokenised assets are set to redefine how users interact with capital markets, and we believe wallets will become the primary gateway for this new era. By supporting Ondo’s tokenised asset standards, Bitget Wallet is committed to making secure, self-custodial access to real-world assets.”
However, with the Global Markets Alliance, Ondo Finance and its partners are laying the groundwork for a new financial paradigm—one where blockchain technology unlocks seamless, borderless access to the world’s capital markets.
