Orange Egypt, the top provider of integrated telecommunications services, has partnered exclusively with mnGm, the first online gold trading platform, to launch Egypt’s first digital platform for buying and selling gold through mobile wallets.

With this ground-breaking launch announced on Thursday, Orange is the first telecom provider in Egypt to offer digital gold trading services, enabling users to purchase and sell gold directly through the Orange Cash Wallet and My Orange app.

Consumers can begin investing as little as EGP 5 and receive up to EGP 100 in cashback on their first gold purchase of EGP 500 or more monthly. The cashback can be used for bundle renewals, recharges, or mobile bill payments.

To complete the one-time registration process, customers simply need to open the My Orange app, choose the mnGm offer from the “Cash Offers” section, and provide a copy of their national ID along with their Orange Cash Wallet PIN. Through their Orange Cash Wallet, they can then choose how much gold they want to buy, confirm via SMS, and instantly complete the transaction.

Commenting on the launch, Ahmed El Abd, Chief Consumer Business Officer of Orange Egypt, said: “By introducing Egypt’s first digital gold trading platform, we are redefining the role of mobile wallets—from being just tools for payments and transfers, to becoming comprehensive financial platforms that empower customers to manage, grow, and diversify their resources. This step reflects Orange Egypt’s commitment to leadership and innovation in digital financial services and our role in driving Egypt’s digital economy.”

Customers can trade small amounts of gold in a variety of safe and flexible ways with fractional gold investment and digital payments, two rapidly expanding global trends.

Orange Egypt offers its clients a reliable and user-friendly digital payment platform that facilitates wider involvement in the gold economy by integrating the service with Orange Cash Wallet.
