Ethiopian Airlines, Quantum Technology, and Oromia Bank have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on improving customer convenience and advancing digital financial services.
Mr Sophonias Embibel, Managing Director of Quantum Technology, Mr Lemma Yadecha, Chief Commercial Officer of Ethiopian Airlines Group, and Obbo Teferi Mekonnen, CEO of Oromia Bank, signed the agreement.
At the signing ceremony, Obbo Teferi Mekonnen, Oromia Bank’s CEO, said he was happy to work with Ethiopian Airlines, referring to it as “the pride of our country.”
He emphasised how Oromia Bank’s Milkii Digital Lending Service gives travellers the key benefit of booking flight tickets immediately with no upfront payment, allowing them to enjoy their trips and conveniently pay for their tickets afterward.
No more travel arrangements disruptions
According to Ethiopian Airlines Group Chief Commercial Officer Mr Lemma Yadecha, the digital payment system allows Ethiopian travellers to book and fly without initial payment, removing the barrier of budget constraints and ensuring uninterrupted travel plans.
