Ozi, a groundbreaking community-driven delivery app, on Tuesday launched in Lagos, Nigeria. It was co-founded by Ikenna Ani and Engr.

Christian Chime, Ozi aims to transform the $460 billion parcel delivery market by connecting travellers with individuals needing to send packages.

This innovative platform allows travellers to monetise unused vehicle space while offering senders a cost-effective alternative to traditional courier services.

A new era in delivery

During the launch event at Four Points by Sheraton, Ani emphasised Nigeria’s untapped logistics potential.

He stated, “Ozi empowers travellers to earn money by delivering packages along their routes,” highlighting the dual benefits for both senders and travellers.

The app leverages the daily movements of millions of Nigerians, creating an efficient logistics network that turns routine journeys into profitable opportunities.

Ozi’s commitment to safety is evident through its comprehensive verification process, which includes identity checks and real-time transaction tracking.

Ani noted that these features enhance user trust and accountability within the community-driven model. Chime added, “Our mission extends beyond simplifying logistics; we aim to create shared value for all stakeholders.”
