Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Redmi, is gearing up for the launch of its highly anticipated Redmi Note 13 series on September 21, 2023.

This series is poised to succeed the successful Redmi Note 12 lineup, which made its debut in 2022.

Ahead of the official launch, Redmi has teased various aspects of the new smartphones, including their designs, camera specifications, and now, the display features.

In a recent Weibo post, Redmi has officially confirmed that the top-of-the-line model in the Redmi Note 13 series, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, will feature a stunning curved AMOLED display. This announcement marks a significant milestone for the Redmi Note series, as it will be the first to incorporate a curved panel.

Display Specifications

The display is not just curved; it also boasts impressive technical specifications. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will sport a 1.5K resolution, ensuring crisp and vibrant visuals. With a peak brightness level of 1300 nits, this display promises exceptional outdoor visibility. Additionally, it features a PWM dimming rate of 1920Hz, which should result in a smoother and more comfortable viewing experience.

Redmi is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the durability of this flagship device. The display will come equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, known for its superior drop and scratch resistance compared to previous generations.

Redmi understands the importance of eye protection in today’s digital age. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ display will offer improved luminous efficiency, reduced blue light emission, and a flicker-free experience, ensuring your eyes remain comfortable during extended use. The device will also feature slim bezels and an impressively narrow 2.37mm chin, providing a visually immersive experience.

Key Hardware Details

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has been generating excitement for its powerful hardware specifications. Previously spotted on the TENAA certification site, it is expected to feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it will be powered by MediaTek’s cutting-edge 4nm Dimensity 7200-Ultra SoC, promising exceptional performance.

Camera enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will be equipped with a custom 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP3 Discovery Edition camera sensor. In addition to this impressive sensor, the device will house an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and an LED flash unit to enhance your photography experience. For selfie lovers, there will be a 16-megapixel front camera sensor.

To keep up with modern multitasking demands, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is expected to offer configurations with up to 18GB of RAM. It will be fueled by a robust 4,880mAh battery, ensuring all-day usage without frequent recharges.

Comparing to the Redmi Note 12 Pro+

In comparison to its predecessor, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+, which launched with an octa-core 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC and up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, the Note 13 Pro+ appears to be a significant upgrade. While the Note 12 Pro+ featured a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support, the Note 13 Pro+ promises to offer even more in terms of performance and features.

As for pricing, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ was offered in India with two configurations: 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB, priced at Rs. 29,999 and Rs. 32,999 at launch, respectively. The Redmi Note 13 series pricing details are yet to be officially announced, but given the exciting features it brings to the table, it’s likely to be competitive.

The Redmi Note 13 series will be available in a range of attractive color options, just like its predecessor, with choices including Arctic White, Iceberg Blue, and Obsidian Black.

With the official launch date just around the corner, the Redmi Note 13 series is shaping up to be a significant leap forward in the world of smartphones. The incorporation of a curved AMOLED display and impressive camera specifications, along with robust hardware, makes these devices highly anticipated among tech enthusiasts. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the September 21 launch date.
