Originally launched a couple of years ago, the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G continues to maintain its position as a strong contender in the mid-range smartphone market. Designed to compete with devices like Google’s Pixel “A” series, the Galaxy A52 5G boasts a quad-camera setup, a spacious 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display, and Qualcomm’s capable Snapdragon 750G 5G chipset.

How to Check for the Update

For Galaxy A52 5G owners eager to experience the latest improvements, checking for the update is a straightforward process. Navigate to “Settings” on your device, access “Software Update,” and then select “Download and Install.” Following these steps will help you determine if your device is eligible for the new update.

Previous Galaxy series update

The Galaxy S23 Ultra, S23 Plus, and S23 are among the first Samsung phones to receive the September 2023 security patch. The update was initially spotted for Verizon users in the U.S., but it should soon be available for other carriers and regions as well. The firmware version for the update is S91xUSQS1AWHD.

According to Samsung’s changelog, the update includes around 62 bug fixes, with the majority of them rated as “high” on the severity scale. Some of the fixes address vulnerabilities related to the Samsung Keyboard, such as improper authorization and input validation. The update also improves the stability and performance of the devices.

The Galaxy S23 series received a major camera update last month, which added a new 2x zoom button for better image quality when using the high-resolution sensor. The zoom button was a highly requested feature by users who wanted to capture photos between 1x and 20x magnification.

The Galaxy S22 series is also getting the September 2023 security patch, which comes with firmware version S90xBXXS6CWH6. The update is around 235MB in size and includes the same bug fixes as the Galaxy S23 series. The Galaxy S22 series is one of the best Android phones of 2022, offering a sleek design, a powerful processor, and a versatile camera system.

Other Samsung phones update

Samsung is not only updating its flagship phones, but also some of its mid-range devices. The Galaxy A52 and the Xcover5 are also receiving the September 2023 security patch, with firmware versions A526WVLSAEWH1 and G525FXXS8CWH3, respectively. The Galaxy A52 is one of Samsung’s best-selling phones of 2022, featuring a 120Hz AMOLED display, a quad-camera setup, and a long-lasting battery. The Xcover5 is a rugged phone that can withstand harsh environments and has a removable battery.

Samsung users are also eagerly waiting for One UI 6, which is based on Android 13 and brings a redesigned interface, new features, and improved performance. One UI 6 is currently in beta testing and has recently expanded to more devices and regions. Samsung is expected to release the stable version of One UI 6 by the end of this year or early next year.

As Samsung continues its commitment to supporting older A-series devices like the Galaxy A52 5G, users can rest assured that their smartphones will remain up-to-date and secure, prolonging their device’s lifespan and usability. Stay tuned for further updates and enhancements as Samsung strives to keep its users satisfied with their A-series devices.
