Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Ring mobile device, its much-anticipated bright ring.

The Galaxy S24 series was featured at Unpacked 2024, which preceded the reveal. The announcement highlights the Galaxy Ring and its potential to change how we see and manage our health.

Samsung anticipates AI-powered mobile devices providing unprecedented health metrics. The organisation believes a “comprehensive yet simplified approach to everyday wellness” helps us track and act on essential changes. As an innovative wearable, Samsung’s Galaxy Ring provides discreet and comfortable health monitoring 24/7.

What Can a Galaxy Ring Do?

Galaxy Ring is marketed as a firm wellness companion by Samsung. What users can expect:

Core Health Tracking: Heart rate, breathing rate, advanced sleep monitoring (including sleep apnea detection), and night movement.

Vitality Score: A personalised score measures your daily activity, sleep, resting heart rate, and variability.

Booster Cards: Samsung Health app users receive practical feedback on their wellness goals.

Galaxy Watch Integration: The Galaxy Ring and Galaxy Watch will sync for more detailed health and activity tracking.

Price, Date of Release, and Compatibility

The Galaxy Ring will likely come out in 2024, but Samsung hasn’t said how much it will cost or when it will be available. At first, the ring will only work with Samsung Galaxy smartphones. However, in the future, it may be able to connect to more Android devices.

In its press statement, Samsung says its primary goal is to use AI-powered mobile devices to create intelligent and seamless wellness experiences. This promise makes it sound like the Galaxy Ring is just the beginning of a great wave of health-related innovations. Samsung says it will “enrich and expand Galaxy AI experiences” across all its devices and partnerships. The company wants to give everyone the tools they need to live a healthier life.

The Samsung Galaxy Ring could change the intelligent ring market, but we still need to know more about the price and the exact start date. With a focus on deep health data and integration with Samsung’s other wearables, it aims to give users a complete picture of their health and how to improve it.
