Seerbit, a Pan-African payment solutions provider, has introduced Alpha, a white-label product.

This product makes it simpler for financial institutions, travel and hospitality companies, online marketplaces, and other businesses to drive growth and expedite the penetration of digital payments in Africa by making it possible for them to launch their own digital financial technology solutions in a seamless manner.

Despite the growing trend of digital commerce on the continent, only 5–7% of all payment transactions are done using electronic and digital channels. This is despite the fact that digital commerce is becoming increasingly popular.

The importance of project

The vast majority of monetary exchanges are still conducted offline, which means that the vast majority of customers are forced to deal with the inefficiencies associated with dealing with cash.

Because of this, there is a significant amount of value that has not been tapped into yet. This is due to the fact that consumers are unable to effectively access credit and other financial services due to the fact that their cash-based transactions do not provide financial institutions with sufficient insight into their spending behaviours to provide the services that are deserved by the consumers.

On the other hand, there are already a great number of businesses operating in a variety of sectors that regularly interact with customers located across the continent and have visibility into the spending patterns of these customers but either have limited access to digital payment solutions or do not have the capacity to build what they need for themselves. These businesses operate in a number of different industries.

The majority of people end up doing their business transactions using cash since that is what they are accustomed to doing, or they make do with off-the-shelf digital payment solutions that only provide standard services.

SeerBit Alpha removes the hassle associated with businesses having their own individualised fintech solutions to give the services customers want and need. This enables businesses to not only drive growth but also add value to their customers by providing quicker access to digital financial services that can change the game.

To be able to seamlessly offer credit, operate their own payment gateway to facilitate reliable collection of payments from customers, launch digital banking services such as account opening, fund transfers, and other banking services, as well as international money transfers, catering to the needs of customers who offer cross-border payment needs. All that is required of businesses is to plug SeerBit Alpha into their existing platform.

SeerBit Alpha can also be leveraged by businesses in order to sell mobile phone credits and billing services. This gives businesses the ability to provide their clients with the ability to purchase mobile phone credits directly through their platforms, thereby increasing the variety of services they provide and opening up alternative revenue streams.

CEO Remarks

Omoniyi Kolade, CEO and Founder of Seerbit shared, “Our mission at SeerBit is to make it as easy as possible for businesses to leverage digital payments to drive growth and SeerBit Alpha is one of the products that helps us to achieve this.”

“We are taking away the complexity of having to build your own solutions and giving businesses the opportunity to take advantage of our tried and tested innovation. By leveraging our cutting-edge technology, businesses can unlock new opportunities, drive growth, and establish themselves as leaders in the evolving fintech landscape.”

The goals of SeerBit

SeerBit is creating a unified payment ecosystem that will streamline the digital payment process in Africa by removing the complexity and fragmentation that is currently present. This will allow companies to accept numerous payment methods in a smooth manner and will streamline both online and offline transactions.

The company has operations in ten different countries across Africa and offers a wide variety of solutions designed to encourage the widespread use of digital payment methods across Africa and to facilitate improved payment experiences that have a beneficial influence on the bottom lines of businesses.

It counts among its partners such illustrious organizations as The British Council, United Bank for Africa, and WiX, in addition to other notable regional and global businesses.
