The digital bank said in a statement on Monday that the new SmartCash function was designed to support the Central Bank of Nigeria’s paperless drive while also improving transportation convenience and catering to the social demands of the general public.

In his remarks regarding the integration, Ayotunde Kuponiyi, the CEO of SmartCash PSB, reaffirmed the company’s dedication to ongoing innovation in developing digital payment solutions.

“Our mission at SmartCash PSB is to provide accessibility and convenience for all people, wherever they may reside, through incorporating Cowry card top-ups into our USSD channel and mobile app.

According to him, the latest addition to the SmartCash app’s Cowry Card integration is just another example of how effective and practical payment methods can be while still aligning with the country’s objective of having a more digital economy.
