Takealot, the leading online retailer in South Africa, has introduced Takealot for Business, a new tool designed to streamline procurement for businesses of all kinds.

This platform gives corporate clients a one-stop shop where they can order anything from catering supplies to IT equipment, all with easy payment conditions and exclusive discounts.

Marlise Bosman, Head of Takealot for Business, explains, “We recognise that behind every purchasing decision is a person trying to get things done as quickly, efficiently, and stress-free as possible.”

The new service promises to remove the buying headache so business owners can concentrate on growing their companies.

Single platform, streamlined buying

Takealot for Business combines a wide product range with features designed for corporate buyers. Businesses can open 30-day interest-free accounts to manage cash flow better.

The platform offers exclusive business coupons and rebates, incentivising companies to save money. Instead of dealing with multiple suppliers, businesses access everything they need on one platform, which includes a streamlined logistics system to ensure reliable delivery.

This means a small business owner or a large corporation can promptly get orders without juggling complicated ordering processes.

Expanding beyond retail

This new procurement platform is part of Takealot’s broader goal to grow beyond e-commerce and reach profitability by 2026. Alongside the business procurement service, Takealot recently launched Takealot Fulfilment Solutions, focusing on logistics and global trade support for South African businesses.

A mortgage comparison tool with MortgageMarket and TakealotMORE, and a subscription with free deliveries and exclusive discounts is also available. Takealot’s free one-month trial adds value and simplicity to corporate procurement.

Takealot’s new business service is designed to help companies reduce the hassle of purchasing, improve efficiency, and ease cash flow pressures, all while accessing a broad catalogue with trusted delivery services.

Marlise Bosman sums it up: “The launch of Takealot for Business is our commitment to making their lives easier, allowing them to focus on their core business, while we take care of the rest”.
