ShopZetu, a Kenyan fashion e-commerce startup, has raised $1 million in a pre-seed funding round to grow its business and sell more goods outside of Kenya.

ShopZetu will use the money to grow its business outside of Kenya and test delivery services in Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda.

ShopZetu also wants to expand its selection by adding categories for beauty and home decor to meet the growing needs of fashion-conscious women across Africa. ShopZetu wants to make online shopping easier and change the fashion scene in the area.

Angel investors include Kendall Tang, CEO of RT Knits; Ben Munoz, co-founder and CEO of Nadine West; Sumit Bhasin, CEO of Estee Lauder Inc.; Patricia Ithau, CEO of WPP Scangroup; and Peter Njonjo, CEO of Twiga Foods. ShopZetu may grow and cement its market position with this aid.

ShopZetu CEO Marvin Kiragu, who co-founded the site with Wandia Gichuru, who co-founded Kenyan fashion brand Vivo, wants the platform to be a one-stop shop for beauty, skincare, hair products, and home decor in addition to fashion. ShopZetu strives to become a one-stop store that serves its diverse consumers’ needs to understand what it means to be human. These new categories aim to make the company a one-stop shop for modern life.

ShopZetu Transforms African Online Shopping

ShopZetu aims to improve African online shopping. The website streamlines the process by combining a wide range of fashion and leisure products under one virtual roof. The startup is recruiting worldwide fashion labels to triple its vendor count to 1,000.

Traders run the fashion market in Kenya. Free training for vendors and discounts on basic services It includes making content, digital marketing, warehouse management, last-mile delivery, and returns. ShopZetu takes care of operational tasks so that sellers can focus on what they do best and do well online.

In two years, ShopZetu has sold more than 100,000 items to 30,000 buyers. Since January 2021, the number of startup sales has quadrupled. ShopZetu tries to meet the growing need of fashion-conscious people for cheap new clothes. In the used clothing business in sub-Saharan Africa, the company’s focus on new designs makes it stand out.

ShopZetu is sure that online fashion retail will overtake traditional retail and become Africa’s biggest e-commerce area. With a growing number of tech-savvy and fashion-forward people, the company is set to change the fashion scene in the area. ShopZetu is set up to become a key player in Africa’s fashion revolution by staying on the cutting edge of new ideas, embracing variety, and giving customers the best service possible.
