The gaming community can breathe a sigh of relief as the studio Tango Gameworks, on the brink of closure, has been saved by the firm behind PUBG. With the acquisition of the rights to the hit game Hi-Fi Rush from Xbox, gamers can now look forward to a future where the studio continues to create exciting games.

The Rise of Tango Gameworks in the Gaming World

Tango Gameworks, founded in 2010 by gaming superstar Shinji Mikami, became famous for its titles in the The Evil Within series and Ghostwire: Tokyo. Their release of the rhythm-based action game Hi-Fi Rush in 2023 stunned everyone and won over many fans. Hi-Fi Rush attracted over two million players in only one month thanks to its vibrant visuals and thrilling action.

However, Microsoft revealed in May 2024 that it will shutter numerous Bethesda studios, Tango Gameworks. Fans and developers were taken aback by this decision, especially given the studio’s recent achievements. Thus, many felt it was a significant loss for the creative team to be parted ways.

A New Era for Game Studios: Krafton and Tango Gameworks

Acquiring Krafton was a significant stride towards penetrating the Japanese game industry. They ensured that Tango Gameworks would have assistance in continuing to develop *Hi-Fi Rush* and other projects. This bodes well for the studio’s future output, as more enjoyable material will follow.

Krafton recently made a statement assuring users that previous titles, including The Evil Within, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and Hi-Fi Rush, will not be permanently removed from the market. Those who enjoy those games and want to see them remain popular without competition will be ecstatic to hear this news.

The company will be able to keep making games that players will adore with this type of support. Conversely, Tango should be able to maintain its distinctive creative vision thanks to the cooperation with ZeniMax and Xbox, which should make the transfer easier. Gamers will love this, naturally. The future seems bright for *Hi-Fi Rush* and its brilliant crew.

Tango Gameworks and other tenacious and imaginative studios show us that the gaming industry is dynamic and full of potential. You never know what this innovative studio has in store for the future.
