Telness Tech expands global reach with new affordable mobile service in Nigeria

Telness Tech announced a new Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) in Nigeria on Wednesday through a strategic partnership with VAS2Nets and Lebara. This initiative is designed to monetise the rapidly growing telecommunications market in Nigeria by providing affordable mobile services supported by state-of-the-art technology.

Strategic partnership for growth

The collaboration combines the strengths of Telness Tech’s innovative software with VAS2Nets’ local expertise. 

According to CEO Martina Klingvall of Telness Tech, the partnership was a crucial step in the right direction given that the company recemtly debuted in the U.S. market.

“This international partnership allows us to bring our cutting-edge telecom technology to Nigeria and is an important step in Telness Tech’s rapid international expansion following our recent entry into the U.S. market,” Klingvall said.

“To enable such a massively recognised brand as Lebara to enter yet another market, combined with our advanced technology and VAS2Nets local expertise – will bring a world-class service to Nigeria’s digital population,” she added.

Enhancing customer experience

The MVNO will utilise Telness Tech’s fully automated platforms to streamline operations and enhance customer experience. Teniola Stuffman, Group Executive Director at VAS2Nets, emphasised the project’s potential to offer top-tier service to its Nigerian clients.

With this launch, the new operator aims to compete with established players like MTN and Airtel in Nigeria’s competitive telecom landscape.
