TigonBet enters Kenya’s betting market with swipe-to-bet tech, casino games

TigonBet on Thursday launched its digital sportsbook and casino platform in Kenya, introducing a fresh betting experience driven by mobile technology and gamification.

Named after a lion and tiger hybrid, the platform aims to transform how Kenyans engage with sports betting and casino games by simplifying navigation and rewarding loyalty.

Mobile-first betting with swipe-to-bet innovation

TigonBet’s standout feature is its swipe-to-bet interface, allowing users to scroll through match options effortlessly on their smartphones.

This mobile-first approach caters directly to Kenya’s heavily mobile user base, making betting more accessible and interactive.

Alongside traditional sportsbook offerings, the platform includes over 5,000 casino games like slots, blackjack, and roulette, expanding user entertainment choices.

TigonBet also incorporates live leaderboards that reward players with prizes such as airtime and smartphones, enhancing engagement and competition.

The platform supports seamless financial transactions via M-PESA, one of Kenya’s most popular mobile payment systems. Customer support is available around the clock through live chat, WhatsApp, and email channels, ensuring prompt assistance and ease of use.

Referral system and affiliate program to boost growth

TigonBet has launched a referral scheme valid through December 2025 to accelerate user growth.

Users benefit by earning a share of the bets placed by friends they invite, incentivising organic platform expansion.

Moreover, TigonBet offers an affiliate program for content creators, Telegram group admins, and bloggers.

This program provides real-time dashboards and commissions, empowering local marketers to promote the platform effectively.

This launch coincides with recent regulatory changes in Kenya’s betting industry, including a reduced excise duty from 15 per cent to 5 per cent on stakes and stricter advertising rules to protect minors and promote responsible gambling.

All adverts must be approved by the Betting Control and Licensing Board and comply with new content regulations, a compliance that TigonBet has committed to maintaining.

By blending convenience, gamification, and regulatory adherence, TigonBet aims to capture a significant portion of Kenya’s dynamic sports betting market. Its entry will add competition and push innovation in user experience and engagement.
