Togo Announces New E-Visa platform Togo VOYAGE

The Togolese Republic has announced today that Togo VOYAGE, its electronic visa issuance system (e-Visa), has been completed and relaunched.

The fully digitalized website is a significant accomplishment in the government’s Digital 2025 Strategy. The locally developed system promises to speed and simplify the entire visa application procedure for tourists.

The portal will also enable arriving and departing travelers to perform all required health procedures for safe travel, including paying for unvaccinated travelers’ mandated PCR testing upon arrival and departure in Togo.

A “Visa Wizard” on the user-friendly new platform, which is accessible in both French and English, allows incoming travelers to swiftly assess whether they require a visa to visit to Togo. In order to avoid having to fill out all of their information for each trip they plan, it enables travelers to update their information by setting up a personal account and saving their personal information, such as names, contact information, passport numbers, etc.

The platform and its supporting system are just at the air borders for now. The administration does, however, intend to extend it across both land and water boundaries in 2022. The Togo Digital Agency (Agence Togo Digital, ATD), which has been named the nation’s “catalyst for digital transformation in public administration,” is in charge of carrying out the project.

Although several nations offer e-visa services, Togo will be the first nation to fully combine its online visa and immigration application processes with its Covid-19-related rules under a single platform, greatly simplifying the application process for future visitors.
