Verto has launched the Atlas Suite, a robust new set of API-based embedded finance tools designed to transform cross-border payments for businesses across Africa.

Kenyan travel-tech startup Triply is an early adopter of this technology, integrating Atlas to make multi-currency payments simpler, faster, and more cost-efficient.

This move signals a leap forward for African companies eager to scale across borders without wrestling with regulatory or technical bottlenecks.

Atlas provides seamless multi-currency payments for African businesses

The Atlas Suite enables companies like Triply to embed banking, foreign exchange, and payment services into their platforms via a single API. With support for 49 currencies and local virtual accounts in over 12 African markets, Atlas reduces the friction traditionally associated with cross-border finance.

Triply’s integration helps travel businesses process payments in multiple currencies with minimal transaction costs, streamlining operations continent-wide.

Ola Oyetayo, CEO and Co-founder of Verto, said, “Atlas is built to eliminate these challenges and accelerate growth,” highlighting how the technology tackles Africa’s fragmented financial ecosystems and regulatory complexities.

A tool tailored for diverse business needs

Atlas Suite’s offerings cater to a wide range of sectors. For fintechs and financial institutions, Atlas eliminates the need for local banking licenses or complex system development by allowing seamless integration of Verto’s infrastructure.

Non-financial platforms like e-commerce and logistics companies can embed financial services directly into their products, bypassing regulatory headaches.

Triply’s use of the suite exemplifies how embedded finance can accelerate business expansion by enabling instant payments and compliance with financial regulations.

Enhancing payment accessibility with local and mobile options

Atlas offers traditional banking solutions and supports last-mile payouts through bank transfers and mobile money, which are crucial for Africa’s mobile-first economies, such as Kenya and Tanzania.

This capability allows companies to efficiently handle payroll, remittances, and bulk payments. Triply’s use of Atlas reflects its ability to adapt to Africa’s unique payment landscape, making cross-border transactions smoother for all parties involved.

This integration by Triply and the capabilities of Verto’s Atlas Suite mark a significant step towards easier and more efficient cross-border payments in Africa. It will support businesses in a continent-wide push for greater digital payment integration and economic connectivity.
