Uber and Mastercard are deepening their global payments partnership in a move aimed at accelerating driver payouts, expanding user perks, and streamlining digital transactions across Uber’s mobility and delivery platforms.
The renewed alliance brings new technologies and financial tools to over 8.5 million earners and 170 million users worldwide, with plans to expand key services like the Uber Pro Card to new markets including the UK.
As part of the extended collaboration, Uber will leverage a suite of Mastercard’s digital payment products and services, including Mastercard Move for real-time disbursements, Mastercard One Credential for simplified transactions, and Mastercard Gateway Services to support secure global payment processing and fraud prevention.
Benefits
Mastercard has renewed its support for the Uber Pro Card in the U.S. and Canada and plans to expand to new markets, including the UK.
The card offers benefits like top cash-back rewards on gas purchases and enables Uber drivers and couriers to receive instant payments at no cost following each trip or delivery.
In addition to this development, the Uber Pro Card will use the Mastercard One Credential, a single digitally connected credential that gives users more payment options and provides better payment experiences.
Drivers and couriers will have more creative and adaptable financial management choices with Mastercard One Credential, promoting increased financial resilience.
Mastercard’s consumer payment services and products, such as its Offers Platform, will also benefit Uber’s global clientele.
Mastercard holders who use Uber’s platform to purchase delivery and mobility services will gain additional, special benefits and value as a result.
Uber will swiftly and securely accept a variety of digital transactions by utilizing Mastercard Gateway, the company’s worldwide processing and fraud prevention solution.
