Elon Musk’s latest Twitter verification process has been questioned by Senator Ed Markey, who wants to know how someone with a verified account was able to impersonate him and obtain a blue checkmark. The senator, however, issued a warning after receiving Musk’s response.

We are all aware of the complicated scenario that has developed since Elon Musk acquired Twitter, but the Senator wants to restore things to normal so that official accounts won’t have any issues.

Ed Markey’s warning to Elon Musk

Markey tweeted a link to a letter he addressed to Musk, condemning the new Twitter Blue membership, which will cost $8 per month and will now include the blue verification symbol used to identify the official account.

It was excellent news for some, but it was terrible news for those who already had the blue verification badge since they would now have to pay $8 per month, despite the fact that it was previously free.

However, Senator Ed Markey abruptly changed the subject from Twitter to Elon Musk’s, admonishing him to “fix your company.” “Or Congress will,” was his only further comment.

Elon Musk, a billionaire, is wasting his “time picking fights online,” according to the senator, who also noted that Musk’s businesses are having some serious issues.
