“I’m pleased to announce the appointment of Ayman Essam as Vodacom Group’s Chief Officer: External Affairs, effective 1 October 2025,” the Group CEO announced.

Ayman’s significant milestone at Vodafone Egypt

The company expressed their enthusiasm for having him in his new position.
At the same time, the company bids Stephen Chege farewell, but not goodbye, as he will be returning to Kenya at the end of September to assume the position of Group Chief Officer: External Affairs at Safaricom.
Over the last four years, Stephen has been instrumental in enhancing the company’s external affairs agenda and shaping Vodacom’s image.
“On behalf of the Group, I thank him sincerely for his contribution and wish him every success in his expanded role at Safaricom,” stated Vodacom Group CEO.
He added, “Please join me in welcoming Ayman to Vodacom Group and recognising Stephen for his outstanding service and leadership.”
