WhatsApp Communities A New Feature For Users to Combine Different Groups

A new feature in WhatsApp called Communities allows users to combine various groups under a single umbrella. Community administrators will be able to send messages to all groups, or they can choose which groups to be notified.

Every month in various regions, the messaging platform will begin testing Communities, which are aimed at groups or enterprises that have several branches, such as a variety of clubs or sports leagues.

According to a blog post by Meta Platforms, “We hope Communities will make it easier for a school principal to get all the parents of the school together to discuss must-read notifications and set up groups concerning specific subjects, extracurricular activities, or volunteer needs.

Slack, which has more than two billion users, now holds sway in the area of business communication tools like WhatsApp, which this new function will help it enter.

WhatsApp has also stated that it wants to allow group members to respond to particular messages and share huge files in the near future.

Features Being Rolled Out By WhatsApp

  • Reactions – Emoji reactions are coming to WhatsApp so people can quickly share their opinion without flooding chats with new messages.
  • Admin Delete – Group admins will be able to remove errant or problematic messages from everyone’s chats.
  • File Sharing – We’re increasing file sharing to support files up to 2 gigabytes so people can easily collaborate on projects.
  • Larger Voice Calls – We’ll introduce one-tap voice calling for up to 32 people with all-new design for those times when talking live is better than chatting.
