WhatsApp, an instant messaging app has been upgrading its app for a while now to provide the best possible experience for its customers. A new pause button has been added to the program, according to the latest reports, allowing users to pause voice notes while recording and continue the recording at a later time.

What we know

According to Wabetainfo, a website that tracks all WhatsApp-related features, WhatsApp has recently included a new pause option that allows users to pause a recording and resume it later. WhatsApp formerly only allowed users to stop and play voice notes while listening to them. WhatsApp has even added the ability to play the voice note outside of the conversation. Users had to listen to the voice note inside the conversation before. Users may now switch between conversations while listening to voice notes, due to this new functionality. The global audio player displays at the top of the chat window, and you may choose to remove it after you’ve finished listening to the voice note.

The Wabetainfo report affirmed that “This feature has been released to certain beta testers on March 2, and it will be also available after installing the new WhatsApp Business beta for Android 2.22.6.7 update. If you don’t see the new pause and resume feature while recording voice notes, it means your WhatsApp account is not ready. In this case, you will receive the feature when a future update is released, because WhatsApp is used to releasing it day by day.

Furthermore, WhatsApp has released the ability to pause and resume voice recordings on WhatsApp Desktop and WhatsApp for iOS some time ago, but no news was available for Android. Android users may be able to use the feature once the next WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.6.7 is released.
