Xbox Game Pass members are in for a surprise this holiday season courtesy of Microsoft. Two additional games, Hunt: Axiom Verge 2 and Showdown 1896 and For The King II, will be released on the service on December 12, 2024.

These games were not announced as part of March’s Game Pass titles, but PRs for each of these games have now confirmed this.

Hunt: Showdown 1896 – A Deadly PvP Shooter

Prepare for heart-pounding action with Hunt: Showdown 1896, the ultimate first-person PvP extraction shooter. In this game, you are pursuing horrifying monsters in a damned, abandoned realm as you fend off other hunters who seek your scalp.

Whether you are single or playing with a team with a maximum of three individuals, the danger is always pretty close. The game world is based on realistic shooting; everything related to it is raw and oppressive. First, shut down for Xbox One earlier this year, Crytek has now retooled and restarted it just for Xbox Series X|S for the polished experience of contemporary systems.

For The King, II brings players back to the troubles of Fahrul, and a tyrant, Queen Roscommon, has once again darkened the kingdom. This turn-based roguelike tabletop RPG supports solo and co-op play so you and your friends can plan and fight your way through a story to overthrow a queen.

The sequel is faster and includes the four-character party system and newly patched combat with a battle grid for added strategy. Newcomer IronOak Games has refined the original recipe, making the play more tactical and richer.
