Xiaomi Nigeria unveiled the Xiaomi 15T and Redmi 15 smartphones at a high-profile media launch on Tuesday.

This double launch honoured two lifestyles: the Redmi 15’s everyday dependability and the 15T’s flagship innovation.

The event showcased Xiaomi’s approach to providing high-end features at affordable costs, building on the 15T series’ global launch on September 24, 2025, and included celebrity guest appearances.

About Xiaomi 15T

Powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset, the Xiaomi 15T is a unique mid-range flagship with Leica-tuned imaging. Its 6.83-inch AMOLED display, which has a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 3200 nits, is perfect for vivid images.

With its 50MP primary sensor and OIS, the triple-camera setup produces images of professional quality, particularly in low light. A 5500mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging can reach 50 per cent in roughly 30 minutes.

This device runs Android 15 with HyperOS 2 and has up to 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. It has features like Circle to Search and an IP68 rating and is priced at about ₦1,137,575, making it ideal for creators and heavy users looking for durability.

About Redmi 15

In addition, the Redmi 15’s large battery and immersive display appeal to consumers on a tight budget.

It has a 50MP rear camera with HDR, a 6.9-inch IPS LCD at 144Hz for fluid scrolling, and a 7000mAh battery for prolonged use—all ideal for Nigeria’s power constraints. It runs Android 15 on HyperOS 2 and has a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor, 4–8GB of RAM, and 128–256GB of storage.

With an IR blaster and microSD support, it emphasises value and is priced under ₦300,000. It comes in colours like Titan Grey and Midnight Black.

Xiaomi 15T and Redmi 15 launch underscores Xiaomi’s growing footprint in Nigeria

This launch highlights Xiaomi’s expanding presence in Nigeria, where reasonably priced technology meets local demands for extended battery life and data partnerships (like MTN bonuses from previous Redmi events).

According to early reviews, the 15T’s dynamic range camera outperforms rivals like the iPhone 16. Overall, these gadgets support Xiaomi’s dedication to innovation and could increase market share in the face of economic pressures.

The devices are now sold by authorised retailers such as Jumia, Slot, and Xiaomi stores nationwide.
