Through its academy programme, the Zarttalent Foundation is partnering with universities in Nigeria to equip students with highly sought-after technological skills.

The foundation’s mission is to promote digital literacy in the country.

On February 12, 2024, a successful event was held at Afe Babalola University in Ekiti State to officially launch the collaboration. At the event, more than a hundred students were introduced to the Zarttalent Academy’s technological courses and workshops, which aim to equip them with the skills needed by today’s employers.

The Vision

The CEO of the Zarttalent Foundation, Nelson Ajulo, spoke highly of the partnership and its potential to have a long-term effect on the students involved. He enthusiastically shared that they are looking forward to working with universities in Nigeria to equip students with vital technological skills, setting them up for success.

Also covered is their plan to equip students to thrive in the modern digital world by combining classroom instruction with hands-on experience. Partnerships such as these will be pivotal in determining how Nigeria’s digital economy develops in the future, given the increasing demand for technical skills.

In line with the overarching goal of educating 2,000 women in technology across Africa in the next five years, the Zarttalent Foundation also provides a 30% scholarship to female students interested in enrolling in the academy. When it comes to ESG goals—environmental, social, and corporate governance—this initiative is a huge help.

While 73% of young Nigerians can read and write, just 7% have the information and communication technology (ICT) abilities necessary to thrive in today’s digital economy, according to a UNICEF report from 2023. But the Zarttalent Foundation and Nigerian universities’ strategic partnership will foster innovation in Nigeria’s educational system and equip the country’s future tech leaders.

About Zarttalent

Zarttech, a software and technology consulting firm with a social mission that builds consistent and strategic partnerships across continents, founded the Zarttalent Foundation in 2021. You can receive training in front-end and back-end engineering, project management, and product design at the Zarttalent Academy.

Accreditation from these programmes is recognised around the world, and graduates have access to international internships, mentors, job opportunities, and career support services.

With the help of seasoned international trainers, they provide an immersive, experiential education that surpasses what is taught in a classroom. Borders do not limit Zarttalent Academy and the tech landscape, as they both comprehend. Students are not merely given information but moulded into versatile, internationally competitive individuals.

The crew of seasoned international trainers is what really makes Zarttalent stand out. Through their guidance, students are equipped with the knowledge and abilities to succeed in today’s highly competitive global economy. They assure their students that they do more than just impart knowledge; they motivate them to think creatively and achieve great things.

Nigerian StartUp, Aceplora To Equip Young People with Tech skills

In order to promote innovation and economic growth, it is crucial to equip students in Nigeria with tech skills so they can thrive in the digital age. Given the ubiquitous nature of technology, possessing these skills is crucial for future career prospects and business ventures. The ability to think critically, solve problems creatively, and be technically proficient are all qualities that are essential for tackling the problems facing society today.

We can empower individuals to compete on a global scale by bridging the digital divide and ensuring equitable access to global opportunities. In the end, funding tech education does more than just turn students into competent workers; it also fosters a generation that can propel Nigeria’s progress and success in the digital age.

This is the need Zarttalent Foundation has identified and is hoping to meet with its partnership with universities.
