Lagos-based SeamlessHR, a company specialising in human resources and payroll software, has been recognised by the Financial Times (FT) as one of the African businesses expanding at the quickest rate.

By working with Statista, a global data and business intelligence platform, the Financial Times was able to compile a ranking of the companies in Africa expected to experience the fastest growth in 2024.

On this list, independent African businesses are ranked according to the organic, internally stimulated compound annual growth rate in revenue they experienced during the period under consideration.

The progress of SeamlessHR

With absolute growth rates of 700.66% and a compound annual growth rate of 100.06%, SeamlessHR ranked ahead of hundreds of leading companies in various industries, including technology, telecommunications, manufacturing, financial services, and healthcare.

Dr Emmanuel Okeleji, CEO and co-founder of SeamlessHR expressed his excitement about the recognition by saying, “We are thrilled to be recognised by the Financial Times as one of Africa’s fastest-growing companies.”

He shared that their inclusion in this prestigious list reflects the sustained growth trajectory fueled by an unrelenting pursuit of excellence, innovation, and a commitment to driving positive change in technology. He noted that their dedication as a company to developing homegrown solutions that contribute to the success of these institutions and the improvement of the lives of working people in Africa, thereby influencing the future of the labour force on the African continent, remains unwavering.

In 2023, the organisation facilitated payroll processing for $300 million for various African businesses, thereby establishing itself as a reliable partner in its pursuit of success.

The business recently completed a Series A funding round, which resulted in the acquisition of ten million dollars. The company intends to build new embedded finance products and continue its impressive pan-African expansion.
