CargoX, an autonomous delivery platform based in the UAE, announced on Tuesday that it raised $250 million from an investor group led by BlueFive Capital. The funding positions the company to accelerate deployment of its driverless logistics network across the UAE and beyond.
Expanding Driverless Logistics
CargoX reported successful pilot runs on public roads in the UAE and said service launch preparations were already under way with anchor customers in e-commerce, retail and logistics. Commercial operations are set to begin in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
The funding will support the expansion of CargoX’s autonomous logistics network across the UAE and international markets, as well as continued investment in vehicle technology, operations infrastructure and strategic partnerships.
The company deploys driverless delivery vehicles across last-mile, middle-mile and long-haul logistics routes. CargoX secured regulatory engagement with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority and Abu Dhabi Mobility, giving the company an institutional base for driverless deployment on urban and intercity corridors.
New CEO Tomaso Rodriguez brings a proven track record in scaling delivery platforms across the Middle East. Rodriguez ran Talabat for six years and grew the business more than ninefold before steering a $2 billion IPO in 2024, the largest global technology listing of the year.
“The Middle East is ready for a step-change in logistics efficiency, and autonomous delivery is no longer a future concept, it is happening today. With $250 million in funding, we now have the firepower to scale, starting in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, then globally,” Rodriguez said.
BlueFive Leads Funding Round
BlueFive Capital is one of the world’s fastest-growing investment managers, with $15 billion in assets under management. Incorporated in Abu Dhabi Global Market, the firm operates offices in nine cities, including London, Riyadh, Singapore and Beijing.
The raise underscores growing investor appetite for automation in supply chains, particularly in the Gulf, where governments are actively backing smart mobility initiatives as part of broader economic diversification strategies.
