Emerald Finance Limited has partnered with Airtel Mobile Commerce Ltd (Airtel Money) to introduce the Ka’Starta Loan service, a digital micro-term loan product designed to promote financial inclusion in Zambia.

This new service allows Airtel Money subscribers to access small, short-term loans directly via mobile phones, providing a quick and convenient credit option for millions of Zambians.

The Ka’Starta Loan service aims to bridge the gap between traditional financial services and the underserved population in Zambia, offering instant access to credit through digital channels.

Leadership Insights on the Airtel Money-Emerald Finance Partnership

During the launch, Mr. Kabeke Mulenga, CEO of Emerald Finance Limited, expressed his unwavering commitment to the collaboration, emphasising that financial inclusion is key to economic growth and financial freedom in Zambia.

He stated, “Our partnership with Airtel Mobile Commerce Zambia is a strategic move to ensure that affordable credit is available to everyone, regardless of location or income level. Together, we are enabling more Zambians to access the financial resources they need to thrive.”

Mr Andrew Chuma, Airtel Mobile Commerce Country Director, also highlighted the partnership’s significance in driving financial inclusion, stating, “This micro-term loan product is a step towards a more inclusive digital economy, breaking down barriers to access to credit and empowering our customers to achieve their financial goals.”

The Ka’Starta Loan service is available to all qualifying Airtel customers who meet the eligibility criteria. This innovative financial product is poised to empower Zambians by providing a convenient and secure way to access credit, supporting entrepreneurial growth and helping individuals achieve their economic goals.
