The Lagos State Science Research and Innovation Council (LASRIC) on Thursday announced the opening of applications for the LASRIC Innovation Challenge 2025. 

This initiative aims to empower startups and innovators to develop solutions that address pressing challenges in Lagos and beyond. 

The challenge highlights LASRIC’s commitment to fostering innovation that can lead to sustainable development.

Call for innovators

The LASRIC Innovation Challenge focuses on circular economy, agritech, and food security. 

Participants are encouraged to submit innovative, fund-ready solutions that tackle issues such as waste reduction, recycling, and enhancing agricultural productivity.

Harry ‘Tomi Davies, a prominent figure in the innovation ecosystem, stated, “Lagos needs bold innovators—are you one of them?” This call emphasises the urgency for creative minds to step forward and contribute to meaningful change.

Application details

Startups interested in this challenge must submit their applications by January 31, 2025. The selected participants will not only gain exposure but also have the opportunity to compete for funding and resources that can help bring their ideas to fruition.
