BCX CEO retirement comes amid revenue pressures

BCX’s revenue fell 9.3% in the quarter ended December 31, 2025, and was down 5.9% year-to-date as clients tightened spending.

Converged communications revenue dropped 17.8%, while IT services declined 10.5%. The company’s EBITDA margin remained steady at 10.4% for the quarter.

However, cybersecurity revenue rose 18.4%, and IT hardware and software sales increased 19.6%, boosted by project timing.

Telkom states, “This transition coincides with the retirement of the BCX CEO, Mr Jonas Bogoshi, who was instrumental in laying the foundation for the next phase of our strategic review.”

The firm adds, “An incoming leadership will be responsible for accelerating the transformation initiatives that define our path forward.”

Jonas Bogoshi’s achievements during his seven-year tenure at BCX

Jonas Bogoshi joined BCX as chief revenue officer in April 2018 and was promoted to CEO in June 2018.

Before BCX, he held senior roles including country manager at Dell EMC, CEO of Gijima, VP of sales at T-Systems, head of the State IT Agency, and manager at Cisco.

During his seven-year tenure as CEO, Bogoshi streamlined BCX by consolidating seven operating companies and more than 30 entities into a unified structure.

He introduced a new leadership team and strategy focused on sustainable growth. Customer experience improved through stronger Voice of the Customer scores, while service quality rose based on Quality of Services metrics. Employee engagement also advanced through BCX DNA initiatives.

Under his leadership, BCX renewed major contracts, expanded its client base, and secured key deals in core markets.
