The public launch follows an early testing phase that recorded strong participation and trading activity, particularly across gold, foreign exchange, and macro-focused instruments.
The beta programme, which began in December, attracted more than 80,000 users who signed up to trade assets beyond digital currencies.
According to Bitget, demand during the testing period exceeded expectations, signalling growing interest in the product.
Strong beta performance signals market appetite
During the testing period, trading activity was strong. The XAU/USD (gold) pair alone recorded over $100 million in single-day trading volume, making it one of the most active assets during the test phase.
Based on feedback from early users, Bitget made several improvements before opening TradFi trading to the public. These updates focused on improving liquidity, tightening spreads, and expanding leverage options.
With the public launch, users now have access to 79 trading instruments across metals, forex, indices, and commodities. All trades are settled in USDT and can be placed directly from existing Bitget accounts, allowing users to trade traditional assets without moving funds between different platforms.
Bitget Chief Executive Officer, Gracy Chen, said the launch reflects how traders now manage risk across different markets.
“Traders want the flexibility to choose between assets in a unified ecosystem. They want the freedom to move between crypto and traditional markets as conditions change. TradFi going public is about giving them that accessibility in one place, without friction,” she said.
Chen added that the launch supports Bitget’s Universal Exchange (UEX) strategy.
“This launch reinforces our vision where trading is no longer segmented by asset class,” she said. “By bringing gold, forex, and commodities into the same ecosystem as crypto, Bitget is positioning itself for how modern traders actually think about risk and diversification.”
